At 7.30 a.m. on June 25, 2025, while people were rushing to work, 19 PJEFC members gathered to embark on the quarterly Prayer Walk. The weather was just perfect as the young adults and seniors struck out in this intergenerational expression of faith and unity.
Starting at the church’s guardhouse, we dedicated the walk by entreating the Holy Spirit to lead each step, praying earnestly for spiritual alertness and divine encounters throughout the journey. Our route took us through key points around our neighborhood, including Infinite Centre, the vacant former Dutch Lady Factory lot, the abandoned Kickapoo Factory, Jaya One, Columbia Hospital, Pacific Tower, Daikin Malaysia, Auto Mobile Garage, and Pacific 66 Residency, before returning to PJEFC.
At each stop, we focused on specific prayer themes relevant to the place and its people. At Infinite Center, we lifted up prayers for marketplace influence, asking God to raise ethical leaders and for the center to become a hub of righteousness and fruitful community impact. At the former Dutch Lady Factory site, now vacant, we prayed for God’s purpose over the land and the new occupants who will come, that their work and presence will bless the neighborhood.
We also prayed over abandoned spaces like the Kickapoo Factory, asking the Lord to bring restoration, new vision, and community-focused development. At Jaya One, a vibrant intersection of commerce, education, and culture, we remembered especially the international students and residents living there, praying for their spiritual awakening and that many will find a loving spiritual family at PJEFC.
Our prayers at Columbia Hospital encompassed healing, compassion, and gospel opportunities for patients and caregivers alike. At Pacific Tower and Daikin Malaysia, we interceded for godly marketplace leadership, sustainable industry practices, and bold believers who will bring Christ’s light into their workplaces.
We also prayed for the local car workshop, Garage Mobile, asking God to bless their honest trade and vocational excellence. At Pacific 66 Residency, our immediate neighbours, we prayed for peace, spiritual hunger, and connections that will lead them to Christ.
Finally, returning to PJEFC, we committed the church’s mission into God’s hands, asking for renewed passion, faithfulness, and a citywide impact that will shine as a beacon of hope.
This Prayer Walk was a meaningful time of fellowship, spiritual focus, and community intercession. We encourage everyone to join future walks, whether in person or in prayer, as we collectively seek God’s presence and purposes in our city.
