I was eagerly looking forward to DMC this year. As soon as registration opened, I signed up immediately and got the early bird gift! Having been part of the last four Disciple Making initiatives—from DM Week on the Gnowbe platform in 2020 to Disciple Making Month in July—I found this DMC 2025 a refreshing change.
There was a nice “conference feel” with the conference bag, programme booklet, and the well-organised set-up in the sanctuary. The worship sessions were uplifting; as the sanctuary filled with voices in praise, I sensed God’s presence and the Holy Spirit moving among us.

The programme was thoughtfully planned and structured. The main sessions were impactful, and the wide range of workshops catered to different generations and current topics of interest. It was hard to choose which to attend—many wished we could attend more than one parallel workshop! The ice breaker activities brought plenty of laughter, especially at our miserable attempts in the origami task!
The key highlight was our animated main speaker and subject expert, Rev. Dr Tan Soo-Inn. He spoke with clarity, sharing practical applications and authentic stories from his own journey as both disciple and disciple-maker. A few phrases still ring loudly: Discipleship is intentional. Discipleship is not optional. DMC is not just informational but transformational.
During the breakout session, our hearts were convicted as we reflected on our personal discipleship journeys. It resulted in real actions among our CG members at our table. We made a commitment to dedicate our time and have now commenced our first discipleship journey with our young Christian CG members, after some initial delay.
A word of encouragement to the planning team who worked tirelessly for a seamless, insightful and delightful DMC. Praise God for you and your leadership, labour of love, joyful and faithful service unto the Lord.
