Together went to Kuala Selangor recently
Thanks to our capable committee
Worked with unity and efficiency
Sorted planning logistics and money
Programme was kept light and easy
Hotel by the river very cosy
Next to us various boat ride company
Shops restaurants walking distance only
Shopped for goodies, ate seafood a plenty
Went Sekinchan took pictures with paddy
3 days 2 nights together very happy
Shared jokes, stories and personal history
Got to know each other more deeply
Members with various personality
At 54 I’m the youngest baby
Surprised that some already past 80
Still very sporting joined in all activity
Accepted service with grace and humility
One loving hubby already past 70
Because of work could not join day activity
Still committed to and fro travelled daily
One author published 2 books for charity
A few couples really lovey dovey
Some singles swinging and lively
All serving with love, patience, sensitivity
Great sense of humour and high maturity
Already planning for next retreat tentatively
If possible we block the dates early
So that more members can join in readily
Place not crucial more important the company
The more we get together the merrier will be
