Firstly, I want to thank Pastor Jeremy, my brothers Andrew and Samuel, and my mother, as well as the support of the entire PJEFC family. This trip was able to happen because of them. My family actually joined this church in December 2024 during the Christmas season. I can hardly believe that in just one year, I was able to go on a mission trip to Nepal with this church family. Thank you very much, God, for granting me this opportunity.
The scenery of Nepal was beautiful. The food was good too, and the people were friendly.
We did a lot in a week.
On the first day, my mother and I met up with the rest of the team because we were coming from Pokhara after an 8-hour drive; we stayed overnight at a hotel first while they were already staying at Pastor Hari’s house. We also had a prayer walk around the village, and bought ingredients for dinner. During the prayer walk, three dogs chased me for food, so Pastor Hari gave me biscuits to feed them. In the evening, we held a youth Bible study, played music, sang songs, and Samuel taught from the book of Acts.
The second day was our Sunday worship service. Samuel and I didn’t expect the children’s session to start so early because everyone was an hour and a half late, but we still completed the first session smoothly. After everyone had arrived, I led some English worship songs, and a church member named Dipika led the worship in Nepali. Afterward, Pastor Jeremy preached a sermon about Christmas. The children watched a movie and had snacks, which included big and delicious samosas. In the afternoon, we made a DIY lamp based on the Psalm 119:105.
On the last day, I was busy with various activities all day for the children’s ministry. They folded paper planes, drew the five steps of prayer, and learned some Bible verses, but they didn’t apply God’s Word because during the intense games, they started fighting. Next time, we need to manage the games better.
What are my takeaways from this mission trip? Well, it has definitely strengthened my commitment to God. Life doesn’t always go as planned, and what happened every day confirmed this. Many things didn’t go as planned but in the end, God always worked things out. In future, whenever I feel desperate or lost, I can trust Him and believe that everything will be okay.
I’ve learned to enjoy the beautiful world He has created—basking in the morning sunlight with a warm cup of Milo in my hand. I think many people in the city probably miss such special moments. I’ve also started Pastor Jeremy’s discipleship and baptism course, which is an important faith milestone for me. Thank God for helping me to step out of my comfort zone. I’m ready to fully commit myself to Christ.
I pray that one day, the children I taught there can lead others to become followers of Christ in Nepal.

You know the saying love another.
