Our Taman SEA 1 Alpha and 2 Beta CG retreat took place in Melaka on October 12, 2024. We arrived at our Assistant CG Leader’s home in Melaka to a sumptuous lunch cooked by his wife, Jasmie, and her mother. Following that, we drove to Prima Hotel.
That night was Mathew’s treat – a river cruise on the Melaka River. It was nearly cancelled because of the rain but God was good and we managed to cruise up and down the river under the beautifully lighted bridges and buildings along the river banks.
Next morning, after breakfast at Baba Kaya, we headed for Malacca EFC for the Sunday Service. We were warmly welcomed by the church members. The sermon that morning was by our own Rev. Dicky – “Beyond Our Walls”, based on Acts 1:1- 8. After service, all too soon we said our goodbyes.
At 2.30 p.m. we gathered at the meeting room of Prima Hotel for a time of reflection. Everyone shared thoughts and feelings about their personal experiences and times when God touched their lives deeply. All had something significant to share and drew us closer. The session was a fitting conclusion to our CG retreat.
