BUILDING LIVES TOGETHER

By Jared Goh

As part of the camp committee, I had to plan a game but I wasn’t sure if it was good enough. I didn’t expect much but still hoped the campers would have fun during the game. They did! More than expected. What a relief.

My favourite memory of the camp is a game we played called Perancangan Bandar, especially the building part. Everyone worked together on their buildings and there were so many unique buildings. I even saw some campers praying over their buildings. The “MBPJ” building was hilarious, with the earthquake tests and all. I believe everyone enjoyed working together to make their building. They had fun decorating the things with the baby. Someone put the baby on top of the building, which is quite creative. Some even made little places for the babies to sleep and couches too, which is very cute.

Our reflection night helped me connect to God and open up discussions with the others.

Overall, the camp was a very wonderful experience, though a bit short. I’m thankful for the committee, facilitators, fellow campers, and of course, God for bringing us all together for this wonderful camp.
