“I DISCOVERED MY PARENTING PURPOSE” Via WMTF Series

By Mala Robin

As a homemaker and mother, life often feels like a constant rhythm of routines, with meals to prepare, clothes to wash, and children to guide. The days are full, but not always noticed. Yet through the Work, Money, Time, and Family (WMTF) series, I’ve been reminded that what we do in the home carries eternal value.

One key lesson that stood out to me is this: our children are always watching. They may not say much, but they observe how we handle stress, how we talk about money, how we use our time, and how we love each other. These everyday moments quietly shape their hearts.

I used to feel pressured to do everything right, to have the house in order, meals ready, and the children always well-behaved. But I’ve come to realise that what my children need most is not a perfect mother, but a present one. My presence, being fully available in love and patience, matters far more than a spotless home or a packed schedule.

Money plays a big role in our lives, but it doesn’t define our family. A simple meal shared in peace and laughter leaves a deeper impression than any expensive treat. And while we may not always have “enough time,” we can choose to give our best moments to those who matter most.

The WMTF series reminded me that parenting is not just a role, it’s a calling. It’s holy ground. It’s where we build faith, character, and connection. And even in the small, unseen things, God is at work.

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15

I’m truly thankful for the WMTF sessions. They’ve encouraged me, grounded me, and helped me embrace this parenting season with greater joy and purpose. May our homes reflect the heart of God – full of grace, truth, and love.
