MY SUNDAY WORSHIP

By Jerry Phung

Blessings and shalom to all my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

I count it all joy and privilege to be able to share my worship encounter with God during our Worship Service on August 21, 2022 when we celebrated World Senior Citizens’ Day. To God be the glory, that He counted me worthy to lead in the worship session and share His amazing grace and love to all.

Let me share about my choices of hymns for the Worship Service, and how our singing magnified our Lord Jesus Christ via the presence of our Comforter, the Holy Spirit, in our worship. I felt our voices that morning reached the highs of our Heavenly Hosts, our Holy Triune God, all His angelic beings and/or His saints.

It is my overflowing joy to reiterate the simple chorus sung on that Sunday,

“Thank you, Lord, for saving our souls.
Thank you, Lord, for making us whole.
Thank you, Lord, for giving to us,
Thy great salvation so rich and free. Amen.”

May our body, heart and soul declare Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord forever and ever.

The hymns that we sang that morning, with their depth and richness, declared the awesomeness and greatness of our Holy Triune God: –

  1. Jesus Loves me this I know
  2. Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty
  3. All Hail the Power of Jesus Name (Diadem)
  4. How Great Thou Art
  5. Emmanuel, God with us
  6. Because He lives

May I suggest that we sing these songs aloud in our private moments and let the words minister to us. I am sure you will be overwhelmed with tears of joy and receive great revelations by God.

For me, the key inspiration for the above song choices is our Lord Jesus Christ, Emmanuel – God with us. As Paul shared in Romans 11:33-36, “… For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen .”

In conclusion, the sermon by Pastor Dicky, entitled “One Moment In Time”, about our life and  faith journeys summed it all.  That very moment when Jesus Christ encountered us and  we received him, our lives became eternally secure and nothing can separate us from Him “because He lives within us”.

Hope that my worship declaration here will bless us all. In Him I trust and obey. Amen.
