If a marathon or competition is coming up soon, chances are that you will train and practice for it. Marriage is perhaps the most important decision that one will make in their lifetime. And just as we prepare for a marathon or competition, would it not be appropriate for us to prepare ourselves for marriage?
This is what the ALPHA pre-marriage course is about. It is a 5-week course that allows the couple to talk through critical issues related to marriage so that both parties may be better equipped in the future.
We welcome couples of all faiths who are exploring the idea of getting married and for those who are already engaged to embark on a five-week journey of exploration, discussion and realization. The course is based on Christian principles but designed for all couples with or without a church background. You do not need to be getting married in a church to join the course.

The RM 200 fee includes dinner, snacks and course materials, averaging RM 20 per person per meal.
We will warmly welcome you and extend our hospitality. The entire session will be based on videos, which include discussions with your partner. The facilitators will be available to answer your questions and ensure you are well-fed and comfortable.
Casual or smart casual will do.
You can may choose to bring your own snacks, as the video is an hour long). It would be helpful to bring the course book provided during the first session, along with a pen or pencil for taking notes.

Alpha PMC (Pre-Marriage Course) is a series designed to help engaged or seriously dating couples build a strong foundation for marriage. Through guided sessions and practical conversations, couples explore key topics such as communication, conflict resolution, expectations, and building a lasting relationship.

No special preparation is required. Couples are simply encouraged to attend the sessions and engage in the guided conversations.
If you are unable to attend a session, please inform Pr Yu Yong. Where possible, guidance will be provided on how to catch up on the missed material.
