We believe the Scriptures both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
We believe in ONE God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ, of which He is the Head.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
We believe that only those who are thus members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.

To make disciples of all nations
In ministry, PJEFC has adopted the stance of making disciples as a statement of loving God, and it is impossible to make disciples unless we too, love people.
If we were to use an analogy to describe the church and her ministry, it would be this: the trellis and the vine. The trellis is the structure upon which makes it possible for the vine to grow and be fruitful.
As Jesus has called us to bear fruit in abundance, we appreciate all of the trellis work (organisational structure, available facilities, abundance of resources) that is done behind the scenes that keep the church operating smoothly. However, a trellis does not bear fruit — only a vine can.
Hence, we are all disciples. And as disciples, we are to leverage on our ‘trellis’ to maximise the ‘vine work’. It will get messy, it will be painful, but it is moving in the right direction as commanded by Jesus.
Making disciples should be our main focus, primary drive and ingrained into our lives as Jesus followers. It is an act that brings glory to God as others hear about Jesus and receive salvation from Him.
A disciple is a learner of Christ, a Jesus follower. Everyone who believes in Jesus is a disciple. This means each of us are in a capacity to help others who are less mature in their Christian journey to take a step into maturity. As we are all in different stations in life, there is always an opportunity for us to disciple someone else.
It might sound like a monumental task, but it actually isn’t. In fact, making disciples might be the most natural thing that you can do as a disciple yourself! All that you need to do is to help someone take one step to the right, moving them from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of the Son through the 4 “P”s.

I am the Senior Pastor of the church, although I’m a long way to becoming a senior. 💃 I oversee all the remaining ministries not mentioned by the other pastors. I am also a legit Assistant Registrar of Marriages so I can register Christian marriages/unions…YAYY!!! Yes, it does sound like a lot on my plate, but don’t worry, I don’t do it alone. The wonderful team of people serving alongside me has me ‘covered’.
My passion is to see people be transformed by the love of Jesus, to see the church be an inviting safe space for the community to explore what it means to be human in the modern world, and to share how best to follow Jesus in our culture. Hello, although I am a part-time pastor of the church, I have a full-time heart for the elderly in the Seniors. I also lead the Care Ministry here at PJEFC and I thank God for His gift to take care of others. I strive to continue learning to be compassionate and to be reflective of Christ’s love and His ways. May Jesus increase, and I decrease. To me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
I am a local man born in Kuala Lumpur, residing in Petaling Jaya. A husband with one wife, one son, one daughter-in-law and one grandson. I am a father and a grandfather to a happy and contented family where the Lord Jesus is the center of our household. My Christian walk began when I was just 16 years old.
Currently, I oversee Prayer and Welfare after pastoring the Chinese congregation for over ten years. I am a graduate from Tung Ling Seminary Malaysia. It is my honor and privilege to connect and serve you, particularly with regard to prayer and welfare. God bless.
👋 I’m Melissa, the ‘white-haired’ lady pastor 😂 who was once a biomedical researcher. Am not a great fan of the PJ-life but I believe that there are many like me who long for authentic friendships in this hectic environment. So, I stay. And try to offer that as we journey together.
I enjoy the people and connections I find through my focus ministries, Cell Groups and Facilities. Such amazing people pouring out time and love into these ministries! It is truly a privilege and joy to see lives touched and transformed through them 🙌

Hi! I’m Jeremy, the pastor of PJEFC’s Chinese congregation, and I am passionate about introducing others to Christ and helping them in becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself: I am a first-gen Christian who discovered Jesus while studying Biochemistry at Ohio State University. After about two years of investigating Jesus’ claims and evidences, I believed and accepted Him, and was discipled by Navigator. When I returned to Malaysia, I worshipped in PJEFC and served as a missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ. After that, I decided to further equip myself at Seminary Theology Malaysia , where I received my M.Div in 2016. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a pastor alongside the wonderful people at PJEFC.
Hailing from Penang, I love a good bowl of laksa and chendol! I am married to my beloved, Ai Teng, and we both enjoy hunting for cheap and tasty food. Join us?
Hello! My name is Yu Yong and I oversee the Christian Education & Development ministry in PJEFC and am also the assistant pastor of Cell Groups.
One of my hobbies is working out in the gym. In my many years I have found that working out and discipleship are quite similar. To excel it requires knowledge (so that we know what we are doing), wisdom (because of time management/seasons in life), perseverance, and more importantly, we must find this as a joy and not a chore.
Flowing from that understanding, my passion is to help others realize that discipleship is a joy! It is my prayer that through the Christian education classes, and as cell-groups continue to meet, Christians will find joy in discipleship. Now, obviously like working out, there are some seasons where we will be demotivated, where we will feel tired and weary. However, what can help the person push past this season is if he or she belongs to a community that is supportive and edifying. Indeed, Christ reminded us that the journey of faith is not one that is easy. But we are thankful that we are not alone! His Spirit and the community that He has prepared will be with us every step of the way.
Hi everyone, I’m Priscilla and I’m the Pastor in charge of Children and Youth at PJEFC. My background is in teaching and I’ve always been a child at heart.
I love how the Bible includes the young ones in the message of the Gospel: how Jesus welcomed the little children, how the young boy Samuel could hear the voice of God, and how David was used to slay Goliath. My hope is that children and youth in our midst will grow up in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man. I’m honoured to have a great team to work with in both the Children and Youth ministries, and am excited to see God work with our five loaves and two fish.
I’m married to Ken Ming and we have two young children, Samuel and Sophie. I enjoy the simple things in life, like coffee, cake and llamas.
