Ash Wednesday signifies the beginning of the season of Lent. This is a time where we prepare our hearts as we await the Holy Week where we remember the work of Christ where he died, suffered and rose again. Ash Wednesday also reminds us of our mortality and our fate should Jesus did not choose to intervene in the affairs of humanity. And so, we come with a heart that is grateful for what he has done for us.
There will be the imposition of ashes during this service. This is a tradition dating back many years where Christians would wear these ashes as a sign of repentance and as a reminder of our mortality. Do join us for this morning service as we kick off the season of lent together.
