March Sharing

All honour and glory be unto Abba Father who make all things possible! The official launch of the SIBPJEFC Bahasa Malaysia (BM) service on 6 February 2020 is the culmination of a seed planted in the hearts of His people for some time now, where it has now sprouted into reality. The launch was kickstarted by dinner where old friends reacquainted themselves while new friendships were forged over a scrumptious meal. The service began with the worship team leading the congregation to praise God while the dance ministry passionately complemented the worship session.

The SIB Semenanjung President, Rev. Jasme Dairis, preached about the importance for us as disciples of Christ to follow God’s commands. Stressing the importance of teaching, discipleship, strengthening and serving in any healthy church cycle, we were exhorted to work with others disciples as a family of God. Elder Chairman Mr. Chow Chee Yan also shared on the joy of seeing this collaboration come to fruition after a season of prayer and waiting, while Pr. Dr. John Sapalo closed the night’s proceedings with a prayer of blessing. May the humble beginnings of SIBPJEFC experience continuous growth while keeping our eyes focused on Jesus Christ always

To Him be the glory! Hallelujah!

I definitely didn’t regret attending Impact’s 2020 CNY reunion celebration because it was so much fun! The event was a “family” reunion for the Impact family. We had worship, an ang pau treasure hunt, sharing, and Yee Sang Toss. My favourite part was getting to see friends I haven’t seen in a while.

I’m really grateful for the people who planned the treasure hunt and the other parts of the event.

After spending about 4 months in the PJEFC office interning under the guidance of Pastor Alexa and Leon, it is safe to say that I have definitely benefited a lot from this internship program. I am under the Communications & Media team which obviously makes Leon my boss. Hehe ☺. I am in charge of the social media postings as well as being a personal assistant to Leon. Working at PJEFC showed me that there is a lot of things that needs to be completed in order for the Sunday service or big church events to run smoothly. My time here at PJEFC was really fun too as I got to know most of the pastors and church staff a little bit better. It also made me appreciate all their hard work that has been poured out every day to serve God and His people. Not only that, it has also encouraged me to serve whole heartedly and not to complain or get angry about tiniest things. I would strongly encourage the young people who are on long breaks or those who are thinking about what they should study or do in life; come and be an intern here at PJEFC. I want to thank the staff and pastors for taking care of me and especially mentoring me during my time here in the office.

I was pleasantly surprised when SOYA’s cell group announced that they were having Nerf War for 2545. A bunch of young adults shooting foam darts at each other was definitely a lot more fun than what I anticipated it to be. After sweating it out, we went to the Well for dinner where I got to connect with people outside my cell over some really great food. It’s always a wholesome experience when you get to bond with a community over food and fellowship. Looking forward to the next session!
